Golden-Berry Face Of The Day using MUA Heaven and Earth palette & Berry Lipstick

So as I mentioned a couple of posts back I am loving the berry lip trend that is going to be huge for winter and I showed you the new Colour Drench 2true lipstick I got (post HERE). So I thought I would do a look with that and the MUA Heaven and Earth palette that I also showed you (post HERE). I thought because the lip colour is very striking and quite dark it was probabaly best to stick with neutral eyes, but to still keep it warm I used golden colours, so it ended up been 'A Golden-Berry look' I think I will be wearing this quite alot in the coming months, although I want either a more darker brown toned berry or a more plum colour, this one is abit too fuchsia, I like it but its not 'The one'.

Anyhoodles here is the look - (for the eye's I used '1' all over the lid, '2' on the eyelid and '3' in the crease and outer corners, I also put abit of highlighter under my browbone

The full list of products I used was -
FACE:
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr foundation (shade 201)
  • W7 Concealer palette
  • Collection 2000 shine away powder (medium)
  • W7 Honolulu bronzer
  • Benefit Posie Tint on cheeks
  • Rimmel eyebrow pencil (black/brown)
EYES:
  • Benefit Lemon Aid (to prime my eyes)
  • MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow palette
  • 2True Liquid Liner
  • Clinique High Impact mascara
  • Calvin Klein Eyebrow Pencil (Its too black for my brows so I use it as an eyeliner now)
LIPS:
  • Colour Drench 2True Lipstick (shade 5)
And a few more pics to finish off!

Random & say hello to George!

So as you know my gorgeous cat 'Baby' died 2weeks ago, and my other cat Kyla was looking abit lost and lonely without a friend so I decided in the near future I would get a new cat for her, in fact I was probabaly going to get a kitten, then whilst browsing online I came across George, at first I was like aaww he's looks like Baby and was the same age, then I got to know his story, he had been brought up from a kitten for the first year or so of his life with drug addicts that fed him old KFC bones or just left him, their neighbour eventually took him off them and rehomed them but as George is quite fluffy the guy had allergies and couldn't keep him which was quite sad as you could tell he had really got attatched to him.

At first I was umm-ing and aah-ing as I thought it was abit awful to just get another cat that looked just the same as I never want to replace Baby and never could but then I thought that's not this little guys fault, George and Baby were the same age but they have had very different lives, Baby was always fed well/treated/spoiled and given 110% love and care whilst poor George has had a very different rough start that he didn't deserve, so been the animal lover I am I couldn't say no to George. He's been with us since yesterday he is still getting used to everything and seems abit sad and quiet at the moment but it is all change for him so that's understandable, I hope with our care and attention he blossoms and learns to trust, here he is!.....
He does look the same been black and white but all his markings are different and he is way more white than Baby was and has a different type of fur, although I think my neighbours did get a shock when they saw him in the window earlier, they thought they were seeing Baby/A ghost cat LOL.

Like I said I could never replace Baby and I still am upset and will always have in my heart but at least now a bad thing has turned into a blessing for another little animal.

Also wanted to share this drawing that someone on my facebook did of me, the first image is the photograph he was copying from....I think it is fantastic! Big thank you to Martin, how talented is he!! :)
I am sat here blogging when I should be getting ready as meeting a friend for drinks tonight I will try do an 'Outfit Of The Night' post if I get chance

New bag :)

I have a confession......I am a BAG lady haha, Well and truly, well actually i'm a shoe/bag lady, I always have more interest in shoes and bags than clothes I think!

I randomly decided I want a new bag the other day, I saw a Fiorelli one I thought about and very nearly bought but there was something about the browny/grey colour I wasn't loving, And i'm so glad I didn't get it otherwise I wouldn't have got this baby!

It's a lovely cream colour with silver studs (I don't know why im saying this as you can obviously see the picture im such a randomer!)

I also have this thing about matching outfits with silver or gold.....e.g jewellery, shoes and bag, and I can't mix silver or gold, I. JUST.CANT. It's weird....im weird....I know but haha its one of my little OCDs! So I have lots of bags with gold detailing but then when it comes to outfits where I need a 'silver' detailing kinda bag I don't have many and the ones I do have im sick of (I think I have about 75 handbags i've collected over the last 10yrs or so! Most I don't use and wouldn't really use now, but I do rotate mine every other day or according to outfits)

Anywaaaay so yes im glad this has the silver detailing in the buckle, zip, studs and I do think it will go with quite alot of stuff I wear. I also love the short handles but it does mean it can't be used as a shoulder bag I don't mind this though, I also love the leopard print lining on the inside -

I got it in an independent accessory store so i'm not sure where online it can be picked up but if I see anywhere I will update this post.

2True reviews - New 'Colour Drench' Gloss and Lipstick and my trusty liquid liner

2true is exclusive to Superdrug stores and it is all £1.95 or 3 for £5, AND they do not do any animal testing big big BIG yaaaay!!!

I have always bought their liquid liner, in my opinion it's the best i've ever used since first using it about 3-4yrs ago (I did a post on it HERE). So whilst getting a new liner to stock up on, I was umming and ahhing over what products to get as might aswell do the 3 for £5 offer! So I have been looking for  a berry lipstick for the past few weeks and the nearest one 2true did was shade 5 in their new range 'Colour Drench' lipsticks, then for the final item I thought the also new 'Colour drench' lipglosses would suffice, I wanted  a lovely orange/coral they had but they only had the tester in that and none in stock, so settled on a mid pink shade I thought would be ok to just throw in my bag, really I just got addicted to the smell and taste (vanilla!) after swatching it in store.

This is the liquid liner (also available in light blue packaging which is the waterproof version) -

The nib is a thick-ish point one and sturdy, I had flimsiness and really thin applicators or worse little brush ones, I find a tip like this or like felt tip liner type pens easiest to work with (Rimmel Exxaggerate is also ok brush wise but the but the pigmentation in this is WAY better, and collection 2000 24hr felt tip eyeliner pen would be my next favourite as I have definatley got used to that  now). You can see how black it is in just one easy sweep and for £1.95 - LOVE!

Next is the Colour Drench Lipstick -

I like these lipsticks they are pigmented, and long lasting and they feel great on but i'm not sure if its the berry shade I wanted, they only had around 5 shades aswell and they do another lipstick range 'glossywear' and again that only had 5 shades or so, so this was the best in my opinion. It gives a nice glossy shine and is moistourising which is always a plus in my book! Either way I still like it is a shade and in winter I will wear it quite a lot I think as it will be time to retire my current favourite bright fucshias shades until next summer soon! One thing I do like is the sleek silver packaging though.

And finally the Colour Drench Lipgloss -

This is a nice natural gloss (its shade 4 by the way), not too obvious but has a nice hint of colour, at first I thought it was frosty/shimmery but once I had it on it was pretty nice, I love the smell like I said before and it's non sticky but still high shine, which is great as I tried a 2true lipgloss before and it was so incredibley shimmery and sticky beyond belief but these colour drench ones are new and I am impressed! These also have a doe foot applicator whereas the ultra sticky old ones I tried had a little brush which I wasn't really a fan of. They have quite a few pretty shades I pretty much liked them all actually will definatley be going back for the coral shade I saw!

So theres my 2true little bits! Who else is a 2true fan and what do you recommend?

MUA pro palette Heaven & Earth

I FINALLY GOT IT! yaaaay! I've actually had it for over a week now but since I haven't blogged for a week haven't got around to posting about it, I have been using it thought and have to say I love it!

All my fellow bloggers will be sick to death of probably seeing reviews on this palette but I know quite a few other people come across my blog and they might not be familiar to it so thought I would do this quick post.

I can't recommend it more it's one of them must haves, I love doing neutral eye looks in the summer time and bright lips so this is ideal, it definatley is like a budget version of Urban Decay's 'Naked' palette some people have even said they prefer it more, all the colours are shimmer so if you're a fan of matte shades this won't be for you but luckily I prefer shimmery shades, and they're not overly glittery or anything. The eyeshadows blend well (like the fantastic single £1 regular MUA ones) and the pigmentation is amazing.

My superdrug hasn't got any MUA Pro in, it has a MUA stand but just with the regular line products which is disappointing, so I ordered online (p.s its the last few hours of free shipping on superdrug.com!). The new pro line includes palettes, primers, mascaras, eyeshadow trios, bronzers, foundation, nail polish and much more it looks fab and I can't wait to try more items, they're all under £5 too (this was £4)

Dusk til dawn and Starry night palettes are next on my list you can check more MUA stuff out on the superdrug website HERE
