Hi everyone I was going to do a make up 'look' today and still might (sitting here makeup free at the moment!) and was looking through some pics and thought I would show you this look from one of my photoshoots that was done totally by me (I don't actually often get make up artists on shoots)
So this is a copper eyed, black liner and pink/red lips look! Its not really pin-up but quite heavy and glam
I started with my base and powder, I used
Max Factor - Lasting Performance in 106 Natural Beige (I picked this up for about £7 in a cheap make-up stall), I also used the BOOTS brand
17 Hide away concealer is shade Medium (around £3) and my powder was also
17 pressed powder in Nicely Natural (rrp £3.99)
The foundation I started to find patchy for my skin so I moved onto my RimmelLasting Finish, and I also use alot of 17/boots brand as this photo was taken not long after I left boots as I did used to work there for 3months before modelling, the powder is ok nothing special but the concealer isn't the best it does the job but is fairly chalky,
As always I filled in my brows with my
Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in Brown/Black (for under £4 I LOVE this its my holy grail product) and then I used a
17 Glitter Eyeshadow in 'Chalice' (rrp £3.89) these have great staying power and the pigmentation is great, I just am not a fan of glitter anymore and it's abit too orange toned this colour, I lined my eyes using
2trues black liquid liner (£2 or 3 for £5 on all 2true in Superdrug) I haven't tried too many 2true apart from their foundation which was hard to blend, lipglosses which smell amazing but are very sticky and concealer which is nothing great abit like the 17 one) BUT the liner I love it's such a strong colour and i find the brush really easy to work with, I did my waterline with a
Black Rimmel Kohl one (around £4) and the mascara I used was a
Bad Gal Benefit one (around £14) which I LOVE! But haven't repurchased as trying out other ones and diff brands (Maybelline Falsies next and old fave L'oreal Voluminous!) I flicked my liner out to create a sulty sexy and glam look,
For my lips I used
17 Lasting Fix Lipstick in Showbiz a cerise pinky colour and then to add a red tone and get some gloss went over with
Boots No 7 Liplicious in just a postbox red colour (this was £10 but the shade has wore off so can't specify what it is and the website isn't showing any reds!) This goes on soooo nice it's not as bright as in the tube but lasts ages and feels really glossy and light.
To finish I just used
No7 Mosiac Bronzing powder (£12.50) I loved this it gave such a healthy glow but I had 2 and they both crumbled and broke after not much use (and I can't think of any heavy drops or knocks they had to do this!)
