Sleek Carribean Collection

Is out tomorrow!!!! YAY this is one of my fave collections they have done from the looks of it and a few bloggers have this already or have had for a while and I have bee lusting over it for so long

It is limited edition as usual, And consists of a palette, blush and pout polish, Sleek is fast becoming one of my fave brands, love them! The palaette is named 'Curaçao' a perfect mix of bright and exotic colours perfect for summer and upcoming holidays

I missed the Pan Tao blush from the Avoir Le Peche collection and this is another orange one and is named 'Aruba' it is brighter and more outrageous than the pan tao one but I have nothing similar so looking forward to adding abit of tangerine brightness to my cheek, am sure once it's blended it won't look as scary and bright!

And the Pout Polish is named 'Bonaire' and these are amazing for abit of sheer colour and moistourisation perfect for the warm weather as they are non sticky and really light, they also smell AMA-ZING!

The palettes are alway my fave bits in the collections as the eyeshadows are just amazing quality they have also just released the 'Oh So Special' Palette aswell by the way, which is not limited edition so that baby is going nowhere it is also beautiful and understated for all you nudey colour lovers!

Here are the shades of that -

The prices are -
  • Palette - £6.49
  • Blush - £4.29
  • Pout Polish - £4.29

Discounted MAC make up at Fragrance Direct

So whilst having a regular browse on one of my fave sites I buy make up from www.fragrancedirect.co.uk I saw they had some MAC products in stock (link at bottom of post). These are new in from them and were never available before so I thought as alot of people don't know about the site and because it is so fab I would do a post.

I have ordered from them a few times ALWAYS super fast delivery and everything always comes well packaged and in perfect condition plus standard P&P is only £1.99! They do Rimmel lipsticks/eyeshadows from 99p, L'oreal/Maybelline/Max Factor from £1.49 lots of Bourjois and even some NYX products AND even some cheap Urban Decay lipsticks/single eyeshadows the site is literally fantastic, it is primarily a cheap fragrance site and their fragrances look fantastically cheap but im too much of a make up obsessive to spend alot of time and money on perfume I just let others buy me perfume as gifts for birthdays and xmas! One thing I will say about the site is the swatches are quite unclear and usually nowhere near true to life so google about and do your own research.

Anyway theres about 20 different MAC products (unfortunatley no lipsticks boo-hoo!) so yeee I thought I would share a few -

Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation- £14.95 (RRP £19.50) available in 6 shades
Sheertone Blush £9.99 (RRP £17.00) Only available in shade 'Gingerley' which actually looks lush and they also do the 'Powder Blush' for £9.99 which is available in  4 different shades
Select Sheer Loose Powder £14.95 (RRP £17.50) Available in 10 shades.

Tinted Lipglass £8.95 (RRP £12.50) Available in 6 shades
Eye Kohl Pencil £8.95 (RP £13) Available in 3 shades
Mono Eyeshadow £8.95 (RRP £11.50) Available in nearly 50 shades!
Superglass Brilliant £12.99 (RRP £16.00) Available in 9 shades.
Other items include: LIMITED EDITION EYESHADOWS - Semi Precious/A Wish Come True/Glamora Castle/Follow Your Fantasy (all priced at £14.99)

Aswell as 'Bronzing powder', 'Beauty Powder Blush', 'Mineralize Blush', 'Bronzing Powder Blush', 'Crush Metal Stacked Pigments', 'MSF natural powder', 'Lip Pencil', 'Grey Pro Palette Quad', 'Cream Color Base' and 'Studio Fix Fluid Foundation' (only shade NW50)

Now im no MAC expert but I know alot of these will be less popular shades/discountinued/limited edition products from old collections etc but I still think they will be of interest for alot of people! Myself included seeing these made my day I even let out a little squeal of joy *sad I know*

CLICK here FOR THE LINK TO SEE THE FULL RANGE ON OFFER

Also I don't think Fragrance Direct ship worldwide unfortunatley if you search them on facebook they have a page that usually has offer codes on so be sure to find and 'like' that

The story of my Eyebrows LOL......

Eyebrows have been the bane of my life, I had lovely thick eyebrows but back when I was 14 in 2005 I HATED them so overplucked them, they were never the same again, they grew back gradually and were decent again apart from the inner bits that have always been sparse especially on my my right eye and were like that until I was about 18 when I overplucked them AGAIN because I am a total idiot!! and now im 22 they do not grow good.....at all, they grow where I don't want them to (e.g in no shape) so I keep them fairly thin, thankfully I have never overplucked them that much they were barely there or anything so yes I keep them thin now but have to pencil them in as I like medium brows for my face, the right one I still don't like so im still 'mothering' that, I thought i'd do this post as alot of people on youtube/blogs have commented on they like my eyebrows but believe my without eyebrow pencil i'd be lost and I only started filling my brows in when I was like 18 before than I was in the dark LOL

So above is my 2 fave 'Eyebrow Pics' they were taken on a shoot on the same day so I obviously was having just a good brow day

This with nothing is my eyebrow in its total natural state -

So as you can see they're quite thin with a slight shape, to fill them in I use Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil it's under £4 its perfect colouring for my skin (its shade brown/black) usually as im naturally very dark brown shades are too light but then just black alone looks WAY too harsh so this is like  a dark browny shade and you can build it up darker, I find pencils easier to use than an angled brush and shadow but thats just personal preference, I haven't found a shade like this pencil ever, I tried a Calvin Klein one a while back initially I loved it, after a few days I realised it looked like I was using a black eyeliner as a blummin eyebrow pencil and looked awful so I banished it to the eyeliner drawer and now use it as a eye pencil time to time.

To start doing my brows I line my eyebrow pencil straight up in line from the side of my nose, this is where you brow should ideally start (obviously my brows have been filled in so this is just for an example!)

Then it should start to 'arch' in line with the centre of your pupil/eye like so -
Then finally it should end directly diagnal from the side of your nose
I fill in the inner area to the arch at the bottom first, and then the top of the eyebrow as I like a good even line and because i've messed around with the tops of my brows before there is a few sparse bits that are uneven

Then I go from the arch bit down to the end and just keep brushing over with soft, feathery strokes, don't get the pencil and treat it like a felt tip or heavy hand you have to gradually build

I also always put concealer under my eyebrows for a clean definition and highlight the brow bone area so the arch is emphasised. The main key is practise, practise, practise, I rarely get annoyed at my brows now but theres been so many days when they were in worse shape and I couldn't get them even to save my life and would nearly be in tears with frustration as I hated them!

Right now I am going to carry on growing them whilst trying to keep them in shape, Ideally I want to start getting them threaded as I think thats the best option for brows,

It's hard to explain in a blog post so this is just really a post on what I do instead of trying to make it a tutorial as that would be abit hard on a blog but I think I shall make a video about it soon as one of my lovely friends Natalie (hi if you're reading!!!) requested it a while back I just haven't had the time.

P.S these are my eyebrow inspirations -

Want perfect looking legs? Check out this 'Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs' Review

So today I am going to do a review on 'Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs' this basically is a foundation for your legs, I first got this when I started modelling as I have a few imperfections and scars on my legs and I instantley loved it,

If you have any freckles/veins/imperfections it will be the perfect product heres what the bottle states -

Its ideal now as we approach summer and want pretty legs to wear all those shorts, skirts and dresses in the sun! It doesn't rub off all day and won't transfer onto your clothes so you don't have to worry as after 60seconds or so it dries and to wash off you just get some warm soapy water, All you do is spray it into your hands and then rub it in all over your legs, it also adds a bit of a colour depending what shade you get and it's basically 'Tights in a bottle'here is how it sprays out -

I got nude glow which I think would be perfect for fair to olive toned skin but I bought mine on ebay last year so don't know if this shade was discontinued as on Superdrugs website I can only find 4 shades - Light glow, Medium glow, Tan glow and Deep glow, if this is the case I would probabaly get Medium for my skin.

The only problem I have is from discussion on the Sally Hansen website it seems it might have been re-formulated as people are complaining it's not got glitter in and they're legs are looking like 'disco balls' LOL so if anything to be on the safe side I will probably buy from ebay the 'Nude Glow' if I can find it as I know this is definatley the old formula I love so much.

It retails around £10-ish from what I see online but on ebay mine was around £6-£7.

I always uumed and aahed about trying it but then just decided to at the spur of the moment as I was always covering my leg imperfections with concealer or foundation and it was a losing battle as they obviously practically rub off straight away so this is my summer holy grail products

Introducing 'GlossyBox'

I first saw this on  another beauty blog (www.starvioletbeauty.com) and thought I needed to share with you guys in case you don't know, basically meet 'GlossyBox' the UKs answer to Birchbox & I was actually wondering the other day when the UK would get a version of the Birchbox.....so anyway back to the actual concept.....like the Birchbox idea you sign up and every month they send you 5 exciting luxury product miniatures packed in a beautiful box for you to test at home, subscription is £10 per box (a rolling subscription per month)

From their website http://www.glossybox.co.uk/ it says ''We will send you a monthly personal beauty box with five selected luxury products. Delivery is completely free. Create your personal online beauty profile and enjoy your individual box, which includes the latest and most exciting cosmetic and beauty products for your type, every month. Be it cuticle removers, hand cream and nail polish for beautifully manicured hands or concealer, eyeliner, lipstick or lip gloss for polished perfect make up, GlossyBox will regularly send you the best products to your home. The days of expensive mistakes in search for the perfect anti-aging face cream or face mask, the right perfume, eau de toilette, aftershave, or deodorant are finally over''

This sounds like such a great idea, especially as you create a profile based on your specific needs and what you like/dislike so each box is tailored for you! PLUS for each feedback you leave for specific products you get 1 'glossy dot'  and when you get 20 'glossy dots' you get one months box for free

I am sooooo excited imagine a pretty box every month in the post with 5 fab samples in just for you! Which of the UK ladies are signing up for it?! and which American ladies already subscribe to Birchbox? Thoughts?

Collaboration......Impulse Body Spray with Barry M lipgloss packs

So from May until June, Barry M and Impulse have teamed up to launch a duo of an Impulse body spray and a Barry M lipgloss - for just £3!!! Yes the lipgloss alone costs more than that usually (according to the advertisement I saw in a magazine it's worth £6 for both products seperatley)

There is 3 different packs 'Into Glamour' which comes with a clear vanilla lipgloss, 'Very Pink' which comes with a strawberry flavoured pale pink lipgloss & 'Tease' which comes with a caramel lipgloss. Get your hands on yours from today ONLY at Boots, Superdrug and Tesco.

I think the Impulse body sprays smell FAB and I love Barry M's lipglosses they look, smell and TASTE amazing I wish they were giving away my favourite which is the bright pink bubblegum flavour one but oh well.....I want to try refrain from picking up them all and I don't really get excited about clear lipglosses so think my fave will probabaly  be a toss up of 'Very Pink' and 'Tease'

New stuff :) Rimmel Red Lipstick and W7 Gel Liner Review.....and a miracle spot cure?!

So this post is mainly about 2 products my PERFECT red lipstick and my first gel eyeliner I picked up,

I'll start off with the lipstick, it's Rimmel Moisture Renew in 'Rose Passion (80)' and this is the first moisture renew lipstick I have tried from Rimmel but in general I love Rimmel as a company and for products, I love this one also because it comes in a purple metallic casing which is so pretty,
Excuse my chipped nail polish in the pics it was just before I changed it LOL (yes it really was haha).....anyway this applies so creamy and soft and it really is moistourising not only that but the main plus is its LONG WEARING! It does slightly stain the lips when you try to remove it but I can't express what a bright colour it is, it is a vibrant (orange toned) red and I do mean v-i-b-r-a-n-t LOL I did find it abit overpowering to wear at first but if you team it with neutral eyes it looks very eyecatching and pretty here's a swatch:
I would highly recommend these im not sure if these are no discountinued as I got mine in a discount shop but I have had a look online and plenty of sites have this available so if you are a similar colourings to me and looking for that perfect red I strongly recommend this, I took some snaps of me wearing it too.....

So next up is the gel eyeliner it's 'W7 Paint the Line' that I got I have never tried gel liner always wanted to get the maybelline one EVERYOOOOOONE raves about buy every time i'm in my superdrug I do not see it LOL so I spotted this yesterday and as it was only a couple of pounds I picked it up, when I got home I realised it was probably cheaper than usual as it was 'black/glitter' not just 'black' but when on and swatched it actually isn't glittery which is a good thing for me but a bad thing for people that bought it and may have wanted the glitter :-s

Now with it you get a brush, the brush actually isn't terrible but it isn't the best or great, the gel itself I found not to be very pigmented, I often apply black eyeshadow as liner using an angled brush for a softer look than liquid and when you put this gel liner over that it looks quite good (im wearing it in the above pic of me wearing the Rimmel lipstick) but that is just an added hassle, I wouldn't really recommend it for people wanting a good quality every day decent gel eyeliner but it was great for a newbie to gel eyeliners like me to make sure I could apply it decently and get a feel for it, so I now am definatley going to buy a better gel liner BUT one thing I can say about this (when worn over the eye shadow like I mentioned) is it LASTS, I had a 6hr shoot yesterday I put it on around midday and I didn't get home until like 11pm and had been in a absoloutley boiling room full of heavy studio lights and it didn't run or really budge so I do give it a big thumbs up for that,
You can even see from the top swatch it isn't strongly pigmented and I would have preferred an angled brush as thats so much easier for creating cat-eye eyeliner flicks, but who am I to complain LOL

Whilst I was in town I picked up a new pink polka dot make up bag just for my handbag as my other one was abit grubby looking and I was bored of it and also got some Sudocrem (nappy rash cream LOL) as I read Cheryl Cole uses this as a spot miracle cure and then I saw an interview with some of the girls from 'The only way is essex' (TV show) and they also said they were using it and slathering it on their faces before bed and apparentley you wake up with fantastic skin but to be honest I have been trying this for a few days and the first day I had no spots to start with and when I woke up had a few very little ones so thats not good but I am going to persevere and see what happens, I shall keep you updated :)

On another note I FINALLY got my new camcorder today im so exicted I can finally make proper youtube make up vids and stuff instead of using my webcam and been really constricted to what I could film.....so expect some new vids over the weekend, I have done a few before but there's only a few (do subscribe to my channel though on www.youtube.com/vikkigabrielle then you will get my updates I hope to have some done over the weekend)

Red VS Pink?! How to find your perfect shade of both.......

Well as the pic above says Red VS Pink whats your fave?!! both are pretty popular lip colours, I personally prefer pink as I feel red on me is abit dramatic and more suited on nights out and I don't actually go on that many nights out believe it or not!

Although a red lip when done correctley looks super glamorous but especially throughout summer I love baby pinks and really bright fuschias, But I think a very bright pink or a very bright red and just simple winged eyeliner on the eyes is a perfect fresh faced look that would suit most people and thats the good thing about reds and pinks they are wearable so I decided to do this post!

Now I know a lot of people have problem finding the correct shades so I was reading through Cosmopolitan again and I thought that had a good guide I thought might be useful for the ladies out there....

FOR RED SHADES:

- Porcelain Skin (e.g Christina Hendricks and Lucy Liu) Go for blue based reds such as cherry, plum and wine shades think more of the 'stained' lips, More brown reds wash fair skins out so best to avoid really
This lipstick is ideal in shade 'Scarlet' (link)

- Golden Skin (e.g Cheryl Cole and Cameron Diaz) want to go for bright tomato or fire engine red  as golden skin pulls these dramatic shades off well and more pinky reds can look slightly garish,
This Eyeko lip pen is the ideal shade (link)

- Olive Skin (e.g Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Scherzinger) Olive skins should go towards more burnt/orange based reds, such as deep ruby as these will be seductive without been clown-like although my skin is fairly light now (ok alot light haha) im naturally fairly olive and tan easy in summer so I definatley agree with this as I find orange reds more flattering on m, The Rimmel lipstick I have linked below is alot brighter than its shows on Boots website so google it and you will see it's 'Red Fever' and part of the 'Colour show off' line
This Rimmel lipstick is the olive skins ideal red (link)

- Dark Skin (e.g Alexandra Burke/Alek Wek)
Tomato reds are best suited to darker skin tones although Alek Wek is a fan of deep cherry red's also
This is the ideal red for dark skins in shade 'Paris' (link)

PINKS:

- Porcelain Skin is best suited to Bubblegum pinks, magentas or pinks with alot of white work best for fair skin
This lovely pink is perfect in shade 'Body Pop' (link)

- Golden Skin should choose a more vibrant pink like a 60s baby doll coral colour, blue or silver toned pink
can look ageing so definatley best to avoid
This Barry M lip paint in 'Peachy Pink is ideal

- Olive Skin is best suited to bright fuschia and similar shades to golden skin like the pinky peaches, neon can look abit OTT on tan skin like olives so best to stay with fuschia and similar shades as they are alot more flattering
This lovely Dior shade works great in 'Pink Coral' (link)

- Dark Skin looks amazing with rasberry or watermelon pinks and more purple-toned pink colours the very light baby pinks can look abit unflattering,
This Estee Lauder lipstick is just right with shade 'Raspberry' (link)

And that is it! The links are just for examples, if you google the shades and look at the images I tend to find that shows good results for swatches so you can realistically see the shades as online shopping can be decieveing particularly Boots Website which have appalling colour shades they look nothing like that...How annoying :-( The Red I need in my collection as I said in my last post is definatley MACs Ruby Woo and im going mad on pinks at the mo MACs 'impassioned' 'girl about town' and 'candy yum yum' are all pinks in various shades and on my hit list LOL I so wish I could win the lottery and then I could justify on spending four lots of £13.50 on lipsticks (nearly £60 with delivery for FOUR lipsticks I can't do it i'd get told off haha)

P.S Apparantley in the UK the 'Average' woman owns 7 lipsticks..........WHAT LOL I thought it would be alot more that that I guess im used to reading blogs and seeing bloggers do hauls of like 4/5 lipsticks a week haha

Does where you live in the world determine your fave lipcolour LOL?!

According to Cosmopolitan magazine 'Where you live could determine your favourite shade' says Estee Lauder's creative make up director Tom Pecheux.....

UK - We apparentley love rosy shades
Americans - Love their nudes
Italians - Adore browny-orange shades
French - love their red colours
Germans - have a love for frosty pinks
Japanese - Love sheer pinks and lavenders

I know this is only 6 nationalities but hey ho blame Cosmopolitan magazine.......At first i was like pssssssshhhh stereotypical much but then I had a look through some my photos and turns out I am really fond of rosy shades haha! how weird...I have a Revlon Colorstay lipcolour I love but I cant tell you the shade as it has wore off *useless* lol, Im not taking this serious as obviously different ethnicities will suit different shades and different personalities will prefer different shades but god knows where they did their research, I proved im just a stereotype ha ha ha

I blummin deffo need to do a lipstick haul....Which for the record I am needing MAC's 'Impassioned' (gorgeous watermelon shade) 'Candy Yum Yum' (bright pink from the new collection) 'Girl About Town' (lovely purple toned fuschia) and 'Angel' (fab light nudey colour)......maybe 'Ruby Woo' (a fiery red) too.

Think I shall do another lipstick based post tomorrow so look out for that as im abit obsessive at the moment lol and my GIVEAWAY has closed I know I was meant to announce the winner the 1st but its been a hectic weekend soooooooo bear with me...I should probabaly do it now.....Il announce it with my new post tomorrow!

Fräulein3°8 Make Up Brushes REVIEW

So for a Christmas stocking filler present from my mum I got a 31 piece brush set from Fräulein3°8 I specifically chose this one as up until now I was a make up with fingers type of girl.....I have a few brushes from Boots no7 and some professional ones I got when I went to Beauty school which aren't branded but were fairly good and I have always preferred using my fingers, but as I have got into blogging and make-up more I have wanted to experiment with wilder styles and colours and dramatical looks so I thought well I will need some brushes, I was going to be Sigma or Crown brushes which I have heard amazing reviews about and also E.L.F ones have had some good reviews but then someone suggested these which were ULTRA cheap so I thought well I can try these out so what types of brushes I prefer and then buy similar brushes from different brands maybe as like I said I am a brush beginner! I got these from http://www.fraulein38.com they are these specific ones http://www.fraulein38.com/Product_Details.asp?ProductID=268   for £16.99 which I think is around $26 according to google LOL so don't blame my currecny coversion skills!

These are my pics you can go on the website links above for a full close up of each brush, etc (click all pics to enlarge)

That is the biggest brush on the front of the case, now don't get me wrong for a BEGINNER these brushes are a bargain, you couldn't really use them professionally or if you're trying to make them compete with better brushes such as MAC etc but for a beginner or to practise with they are pretty much good brushes, they do slightly shed at first and one of the eye ones broke off the handle but the other 30 seem pretty sturdy, the powder and blush brushes are abit fluffy I would like them more if they were 'heavier' if that makes sense as they apply blush and powder really lightly, and I will definatley be investing in more brushes soon but overall I am glad I bought these as for that price you can't go wrong and with 31 (or 30 as like i said one broke) you have a big range of different brush types to mess around with and to experiment with so thats another great point.

Fräulein3°8 seems like a good site as they do the pallettes (similar to the ebay/sedona lace/coastal scent ones which we can't easily get in the UK)

you can get the 120 pallette I reviewed here and a 21 piece brush set for like £25! or just the pallette alone for around £15 they also do other smaller and different pallettes which I might have a look at as I do have abit of a pallette obsession!

So anyway thats all I have to say really on these, if you have any specific questions do leave a comment, I might do some youtube videos soon using these brushes so you can see how they are when in use.

Happy new year all anyway this is my first post of 2011! Yay xoxox

Xmas Gifts!

So hope you all had a lovely Christmas I thought id share some of my lovely gifts, I got some clothes and usual stuff like PJs, dressing gown, slippers etc but I thought i'd leave them all out, I can show the clothes in some OOTD (outfit of the day) posts soon, The rest was just shoes, bags and makeup LOL. I didn't take any pics of me or xmas FOTD, OOTD or whatever else as Xmas for me in a small affair and I stayed in my PJs and make-up free all day. Anyway here goes my gifts!

This cream faux fur River Island bag was one of my faves it has a lovely studded handle too and feels so soft and glam, the lining is such a beautiful royal blue colour ooooh i absoloutley love it!
Next is the sequinned-y rouched black clutch bag, I love simple black clutch bags as they go with everything on nights out so this is great, it is fairly big too

This is a bag I will probably use fairly often for daytime, its simple but chic and I do love anything leopard lol.

Black strappy shoes I go through black shoes like crazy the amounts I have but these are more strappier than I would normally go so something different and sure they will get worn lots
Cream suede lace up shoe-y boot things, I will prob wear these in the day with jeggings to glam up abit, they feel quite comfortable and I really really really  love lace up heels
Cut out shoe boots (suede) I will get so much wear out of these as the heel is so low so they will be comfortable i hope! They're just a bit higher than ankle length and I like the cutout detail and leopard print insides
Gold studded purese, the studs on this are really big and spiky, I love changing my purse (or wallett LOL) so this will look cute even if it will be empty after I have spent such a bomb at chrismas LOL.
31  piece brush set! I don't want to go into too much detail about these as I want to do a whole new post on reviewing them sometime in the next week or so, so look out for that.
And again with this Ed Hardy Make up pallette set I also want to do a seperate post which I will probabaly do when I do the brush one.

This was the cute card I got my mum who bought me all these items (plus many more bless her) I got her a gold bracelet, Beyonce Heat perfume and a few other bits of clothes)

To finish off here is Babies my big cat and Kyla my baby kitten both tucking into the treats from their stocking! They are slowly getting used to each other, a month later! Babies has been used to been a 'Only cat' for so long so now he has a sister he's having to get his head around it all ha ha ha!

Anyway presents aren't whats important for Christmas it's family but I thought I would share a few of my bits with you
