Keepin it Casual.....Outfit Of The Day and a little Face Of The Day

So I thought i'd do a 'Casual outfit of the day' as I rarely do daytime OOTD posts, i've done night/party ones a few times and I think the reason for this is my style if you can call it that LOL is really simple......jeans/vest and heels simple, I love casual but glam wear so I might dress casual but for example to be glam always wear heels, I'm just more of a make-up/shoes and handbag obsessive than a fashionista, don't get me wrong I like clothes but I like to get dressed up for occasions and just simply wearing heels makes me feel glam, plus to be honest half the time I think the 'in trend' and 'fashion-y' stuff aren't nice or flattering! So this will be one of few OOTDs but I will try get more as I like to see them on blogs so assuming my readers might too.

Sorry for the crap middle image thats so dark someone *cough cough* Ash my bf didn't put the flash on and it was the only front facing one I had to had to be put on here! Grr LOL.
So yep I was just going to do some shopping in Leeds (didn't get much but might do a haul of the H&M stuff I got this week) So I wore a simple orange cropped tee, black skinnies (I could live in these! So easy to dress up or down and go with everything!) and my canvas wedges.....AAAND my favourite - The furry bag! I also took a denim jacket thanks to the upredictable UK weather!
  • Top - Primark
  • Jeans - New Look
  • Wedges - Primark
  • Handbag - River Island

I love this bag, the studded handle and the soft fur (FAUX FUR obviously!) but I have barely used it since getting it for xmas as I haven't felt it goes with much but then found it added some pizazz to a plain outfit The only thing i'm abit pissed about it some of the black dye from my jeans transferred onto the back of my bag from it rubbing against my leg.....so not happy I got most of it off and you can barely tell now, but still....my poor furry baby.

Jewellery wise....big gold earrings and one of my fave bangles the snake one -

And lastly my 'Face Of The Day' - Easy peasy neutral lined eyes with a coral/orange lip:

(hahaha this pic makes me laugh taking a pic of myself like a poser when Ash is on the phone in the background LOL)
PRODUCTS USED:
  • Rimmel 25hr foundation (shade 201)
  • Wet N Wild Natural Powder (Ivory)
  • Rimmel Professional eyebrow pencil (black/brown)
  • Clinique High impact mascara
  • 2True liquid liner
  • MUA Heaven and Earth palette
  • Rimmel Sunshimmer (medium matte) bronzer
  • Bourjois little blush pots (Lilas D'or)
  • Rimmel 1000 kisses lipliner (Tiramisu)
  • Rimmel lasting finish lipstick (Coral in Gold)
  • Sleek Glo Face & Body highlighter on browbone and cheeks (Peach shimmer)
Do not ask what was going on with my hair, it's naturally on the wavy side like that so I didn't use no heat on it just some volumising mousse and abit of salt spray.....in the words of Ash 'Could have brushed your hair man' hahahahah charming, got to love men, I was going for the Sufer Chic look gosh!

Face and Outfit of the night! Friday night AKA Party Night :)

Friday night was drinks with the girls, drinks involved us deciding our town was crap and we should go into leeds which is a 20min train away......to go to a club that had seen better days LOL. All in all it was a funny night but going to Leeds wasn't the best plan! Anyway my FOTN and OOTN.....

The make up I used to my FOTN was:

FACE
  • Rimmel lasting finish 25hr foundation (shade 201)
  • NYC concealer
  • Rimmel Stay Matte powder
  • Bourjois Blush Pots (Lilas D'or)
  • Rimmel profession eyebrow pencil (black/brown)
EYES
  • Benefit Lemon Aid eye primer (See HERE for review)
  • Neutral shade all over the eye (4th shade along on the top row of the MUA Heaven and Earth Palette see HERE)
  • Accessorize Eyeshadow (Platinum see HERE) packed on my lid and then lightly under the browbone and blended
  • Midnight Garden (A Navy shade from the Sleek Monaco Palette see HERE) in the crease and outer V of the eye
LIPS
  • NYX Long Lipliner (Nutmeg)
  • NYX Round Lipstick (Power - A lilac shade see HERE) MIXED WITH Lip Balm and Clear Gloss as its abit overpowering alone
Because the Accessorize shadow is a metallic strong silver, and I added the definition with the Navy Blue in the crease I wanted to keep my lips simple which is why I choose just a light hand coat of 'Power' it is such a pretty colour you just have to use it with caution!
And some more pics...... :)

My hair was really decided to let me down, and I was going to just go with a really high sleek ponytail but the Mr just looked at me and was like 'No Vikki' Enough said LOL. Ideally I would have curled it or put some bounce in but laziness took over and I was rushing, So I sprayed it with Batiste for abit of va-va-voom and swung it over one side of my shoulder.

Moving onto the Outfit of the night I wore this one sleeve leopard print silver/grey dress from Miso @ Republic I got it about January time and I love it, its a lovely thick material and slightly rouched and the leopard bits are velvety, the sleeve is slightly sheer you can't see the sleeve in the pics but it is a long sleeve

Accessories I had the black bangle with silver flecks on that you can see in the above picture (you can't see my nails but it is Barry M 'Shocking Pink a bright pink which I had on for a day and just kept on (theres that laziness again ha ha ha) and these earrings which are some new favourites I got in primark for a bargain £2.50, they have little grey feathers on which matched my dress perfectly

And to finish off (not including the black tights which are a neccessity in this poor excuse of a summer the UK is having) I wore these silver heels, They have a slightly metallic cracked effect and they are Miss Selfridge
So there you have it an OOTN and FOTN!

New bag :)

I have a confession......I am a BAG lady haha, Well and truly, well actually i'm a shoe/bag lady, I always have more interest in shoes and bags than clothes I think!

I randomly decided I want a new bag the other day, I saw a Fiorelli one I thought about and very nearly bought but there was something about the browny/grey colour I wasn't loving, And i'm so glad I didn't get it otherwise I wouldn't have got this baby!

It's a lovely cream colour with silver studs (I don't know why im saying this as you can obviously see the picture im such a randomer!)

I also have this thing about matching outfits with silver or gold.....e.g jewellery, shoes and bag, and I can't mix silver or gold, I. JUST.CANT. It's weird....im weird....I know but haha its one of my little OCDs! So I have lots of bags with gold detailing but then when it comes to outfits where I need a 'silver' detailing kinda bag I don't have many and the ones I do have im sick of (I think I have about 75 handbags i've collected over the last 10yrs or so! Most I don't use and wouldn't really use now, but I do rotate mine every other day or according to outfits)

Anywaaaay so yes im glad this has the silver detailing in the buckle, zip, studs and I do think it will go with quite alot of stuff I wear. I also love the short handles but it does mean it can't be used as a shoulder bag I don't mind this though, I also love the leopard print lining on the inside -

I got it in an independent accessory store so i'm not sure where online it can be picked up but if I see anywhere I will update this post.

NEW shoes! I have found my perfect summer shoe

Love.Love.Love.LOVE

I have been looking for this perfect pair of shoes for summer forever, I wanted a natural colour like tan/brown and I wanted a chunky heel so I could wear them in the day comfortably and I FINALLY FOUND THEM!

They're multi strap brown platform chunky heeled beauties!! They are from Dorothy Perkins and amazingly comfortable, I wore them today and walked home from my mums house to my house which is like a 20mins or so walk (uphill urg!) and although my legs got tired I didn't have any blisters or my feet weren't hurting.

I never really shop in Dorothy Perkins for shoes although they actually have some lovely ones I will have to look in there more often.

And voila here they are on -

an OOTD (outfit of the day) and REVIEW of Zalando.co.uk - Fantastic online retailer!

So todays post is on new top I recieved from Zalando.co.uk which is an online retailer that does Womens/Mens/Childrens clothing and also plenty of shoes and accessories like handbags/belts/gloves so pretty much anything you need!
It has lots of top brands on there like Calvin Klein, G-Star, Just Cavalli, Miss Sixty, La Perla, Diesel, Nike, Converse, Adidas, etc way too many to name (over 600 to be precise!) just check the brands tab on their site

One of the things I like about this site is FREE shipping and returns (30 day returns too!) If all online retailers did this I would shop online alot more, there is even a helpful free helpline number for any queries regarding items or sales or orders/general enquiries. To me that is fantastic customer service.

The shipping was very fast and I have no complaints regarding that, my item came in great condition unlike alot of companies I have ordered from that have creased or badly packed items.

Moving on the top I got is by the brand 'Selected Femme' a danish company which has some fantastic pieces on Zalando

I ordered this Coral/Peach coloured ruffle top as I felt it would be great for summer - It can be dressed up with heels and jeans or be worn laid back with denim shorts or leggings and flip flops. It was in the sale (originally £26.95 and now only £20)

I got 'Small' there is just 4 sizes (x-small, small, medium & large) and it does fit slighly big I am an 8 on top usually so could have probably done with the x-small but it wasn't in stock, however it says on the site it is meant to be loose fitting so it just depends on what you prefer, I don't mind really though as it is still a top I love and will get lots of wear out of.

It looks fab on and I teamed it with some Jeggings and my beige wedges, the layers of material are mesh and they are really light and floaty I also like the see through neck detail, it's a fairly plain top but still makes a statement thats why it is so easy to wear and has countless options.

My shoes which you can't really see are some of my favourite wedges, they're cream canvas with a espadrille type woven wedge and tan detailing, I got them in Primark for around £14 and got so much wear out of them in summer. I will have to do another OOTD post soon with them clearly in shot.

I accessorised with some jewelled peacock feather earrings and a gold cream and black flower bangle (my nail colour is Revlon - 'Rock') -
I am definatley going to be buying more stuff from Zalando just looking online now for the details for this post and already some new things have caught my eye! Oh dear my bank account is going to be in for a battering!

I don't do many outfit posts as its hard photographing yourself with no tripod (I really need one of them!) and my boyf is too immersed in playing on the playstation LOL but I have another OOTD coming up of a fantastic Mango dress and also a FOTD (Face Of The Day) coming in the next few days so look out for those.

Vikki xoxox

disclaimer - Zalando kindly sent me this item but this in no way, shape, or form affects my reviews, I have not been paid for this review so I tell it how it is - 100% honest review and wouldn't recommend this company if I wasn't going to use it again myself. They are fantastic and I give them 5 stars!

Evelyn Lozada - Make up Inspiration and THE MOST gorgeous shoes ever

Where are all my 'Basketball Wives' fans at? I LOVE that show, and one of the main stars Evelyn Lozada is seriously my make up inspiration right now (how gorgeous is this woman?!) she has the right blend of that sexy glow-y J-Lo style make up without been too over the top - Emphasised smokey/lined eyes and nude/pale lips.

Love the make up on the above picture where its abit darker but the perfect nightime/party look. One thing that I LOVE about Evelyn is her shoe game, if you follow her on twitter @EvelynLozada you will see from the twitpics what I mean this woman has THE best collection of shoes I have ever seen, so jealous LOL!

Coincidently Evelyn is also a buisnesswoman and owns an upscale show boutique named 'Dulce', you can check out the site HERE the shoes on the homepage are to DIE for! The actual store is located in Coral Gables, Fl (USA) for all my American readers that might be lucky enough to get to see it!
I picked a few of my fave shoes from DulceShoes.Net

In order from top to bottom they are -

  • Casadei PARDOLUX $750
  • Casadei 6463 SLAM $750
  • Francesco Sacco 1550 $575
  • Francesco Sacco 1663 Rebecca $800
  • LAMB Keagon $340
Can you tell I am obsessed by leopard print seen as the first 3 designs all have it incorporated LOL.
They also do a line of Earrings that are so popular the whole line is sold out and not been restocked until the end of July these are my 2 faves -

  • 'POParazzi' Swarovski crystal ball hoops $100
  • 'Native' feather leaf $37.50
*Sigh* I need to win the lottery ASAP so I can be the owner of some amazing shoes like these!

Pretty pink OOTN (outfit of the night) & FOTN (face of the night) for my girls birthday

So last Saturday was my girl Kym's 22nd birthday and we had a party, I wore a new dress that i've actually had since I got it off my mum for my birthday in January. I had on Ciate 'Cupcake Queen' paint pots nail colour that I reviewed and did a NOTD post on HERE and it matched my dress exactly, my 'face of the night' was black lined cat-eyeliner eyes and matching fuchsia lips, I kept my hair and jewellery pretty simple just straightened my hair and put in my stud diamond earrings as my dress has jewelled panels and I didn't want to look too OTT, I wore it with some black heels and a black clutch originally I was wearing white and silver but it just looked abit tacky so ditched them and chose black,

My dress was Jane Norman and it was strapless aswell which I LOVE strapless dresses it was abit tight fitting which didn't make it the comfiest lol but it is one of my fave dresses I have,

My specific make up products were -

Face -
  • NYC concealer (medium)
  • Collection 2000 powder (medium)
  • Honolulu W7 bronzer (to countour with)
  • Sleek face & body GLO highlighter (on my cheeks for extra bronzy shimmer)
  • Benefit Posie Tint (on my cheeks)
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation (shade 201)

Eyes -
  • Maybelline eyeshadow all over my eye (golden sand)
  • Sleek Original Palette (the pinky-beige metallic colours to highlight and on my lid)
  • Collection 2000 24hr felt tip eyeliner pen (black)
  • Calvin Klein Eyebrow pencil (black - too dark for my eyebrows so I use it as a pencil eyeliner now)
  • L'oreal telescopic mascara (black)
  • Rimmel lasting finish eyebrow pencil (black/brown)

Lips -
  • L'oreal Glam Shine lipgloss (perfectley pink)
  • Rimmel exxagerate lipliner (eastend snob)
  • Sleek True Colour lipstick (fuschia)

I also fake tanned with St Moritz but you can't see it much on these pics silly me did it on the same evening so it didn't develop as brown as it was the next day!

here's some pics :)

Silky straight hair!! All thanks to 'Scandalous' hair products (check my previous post to see what I mean!)
A little make up shot which was as close as I could get with my damn camera grrrr!
